Church Update and Encouragement

Dear Church Family,

The Ministry Leader Team (Pastors Johnny, Patrick, and Steve) with Pastors Au and Toby met today. We discussed our position on the shocking assault on our government leaders on the US Capitol on Wednesday.

We believe the violence was a sin against God and our fellow Americans.

We invite our church family to join us:

  • To pray because behind the physical attack is the unseen realm of spiritual battle.

    • “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

  • To pray and repent of our sins.

    • “For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God;” 1 Peter 4:17

  • To pray for our government leaders (1 Tim 2:1-2): that they would repent of their sins and do what is righteous and pleasing to God.

  • To pray for a peaceful and smooth transition of leadership to the new administration. (Romans 12:16-18)

  • We encourage you to pray with your family or any gathering of believers (small group, fellowship, Sunday School class etc.).

In our country, we have the freedom and privilege to express our opinions to our government officials. And as Christ-followers, remember our speech should always be with “grace” (Ephesians 4:29), showing unselfish love to all (2 Peter 1:7). As God impresses you, we encourage you to email, write, and reach out to our government leaders.

In Christ,
Pastors Steve, Johnny, Patrick, Au, and Toby
