Church Update and Encouragement
Church update:
We are thankful for God’s provision and the diligent efforts of our Finance team at BACBC! We recently received the good news that our Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP #1) loan #1 was fully forgiven and that our application for Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP #2) loan #2 was accepted! Our ultimate trust during these difficult times is in the Lord and at times his provision is through sources we did not expect.
Prayer opportunity:
The “One Blood” pastors’ fellowship will be hosting the third prayer meeting this year on Sunday night, March 21 at 6 pm - 7:15 pm. Due to the increase in attacks on elderly Asian Americans, there will be an emphasis on interceding for this vulnerable group as the body of Christ. Pastor Benjamin Chung from the First Chinese Baptist Church of San Francisco will be sharing a devotion, there will be a time to pray in small groups, and then there will be brief closing prayers by various pastors in the Bay Area. Find access information from our weekly newsletters or contact info@bacbc.org.
Dear Church Family,
As we draw near to Easter Sunday the Apostle Peter reminds us that the resurrection of Jesus enables us to have a living hope because we have a living Lord and Savior, and this resurrection power is real and empowers us to endure trials we experience in this life.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.1 Peter 1:3–7
BACBC will be hosting Good Friday services in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English on Friday, April 2 as we reflect on Jesus' great sacrifice for us. Then Easter services on April 4 will encourage us that we have a “living hope” in our living Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Invite your friends and family to these virtual worship services!
Blessings,
Pastor Steve
