Growing Young Vision

While the purpose of the church has always been to make disciples of all ages, we acknowledge that we have struggled with reaching and retaining the younger generation. Growing Young, therefore, is a special effort that focuses on making disciples of all generations. This will require the cooperation of both young and old in our church. If we can do this well, the viability of our church will be established for years to come.

Teaching the Truth, Entrusting the Faithful 

“and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2

We want to pass on the gospel truth that was first passed onto us, for it is foundational and central. Regardless of numerical age, the mature believer is to guide and instruct the less mature believer. This can often mean intergenerational relationships, but not necessarily. Even the most mature believer needs more of the gospel. Growing Young emphasizes the importance of relationships within our church community, and a need to focus on helping each other grow spiritually and serve others through the church.
