"The World and I"
Dear Church Family:
The term “world” sounds big, but it can also be very small. For each one of us, our church, family, school, work, and community can be our "small world." God not only placed us in the big world of the universe, but also put us in our own "small worlds." If Christians can live a born-again life in the "small world," they will naturally have an influence on this big world.
Therefore, places such as churches, homes, schools, work, and communities are the basis of our small world. Christians should have a spiritual enthusiasm. Our lives are beyond our “nine to five” job or school; we should also focus on preaching the gospel and making disciples. The most fervent life is not necessarily one with raging flames, but can also be one of lasting starlight. A raging fire only illuminates the sky for a limited area and time, but a little starlight lights up the universe. If our lives are like a raging fire, of course we can let it burn and light up as much as we can. If our lives are like a star, we can just let it glow with a smile. God has placed many potential stars around us that are waiting for you and me to light them up and let them glow.
Today, with this pandemic, we feel like this world is just full of darkness. We may not see big light from some raging flames, but we can see that there are many sparkling stars lighting up everywhere.
