Church Update and Encouragement

Dear Church Family,

Loving God and loving others is Jesus’ Great Commandment to his followers. The Apostle Paul also wrote of the importance of loving followers and non-followers of Jesus: in other words, everyone! Notice in his prayer for the Thessalonians the phrase “for all”:

"…and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all..." 1 Thessalonians 3:12

Similarly, he said in Galatians “let us do good to everyone”:

"So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:10

We have an opportunity on Thursday, October 8th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to love our neighbor by giving blood. We have offered the ministry center lobby to the Red Cross for this blood drive! Because of the pandemic, the Red Cross has experienced a shortage of suitable locations to donate blood for those in need. More details are coming; you can sign up at redcross.org -> find a blood drive -> 94502. I hope we will have a strong turnout as a testimony of God’s love for the world.

Blessings,
Pastor Steve
