Praise God for approximately 50 Short-Term Missionaries (STMs) from the States and 20 Youth Staff in Taiwan who served elementary age students at English Day camps in two cities 18 km (11 miles) away from each other in Linkou and Wanhua. We are thankful for God’s provision that allowed us to add a camp in Wanhua to serve underprivileged families and orphans.

The Linkou International Church in Taiwan (CBM’s main church plant of 2+ years) continues to grow. Attendance has increased from 31 in October 2021 to 122 at the end of 2023. The church recently hired a young seminary graduate to take on pastoral duties.

More than 65 students in Asia completed online courses on Grief Counseling and Marriage & Family. Pray for our brothers and sisters in a closed creative access area who have been subject to persecution by their local authorities including one student who was placed under house arrest.

Praise for completion of an online classes (Grief Counseling, Marriage & Family); more than 65 students completed the courses. Prayer for Summer Short term Mission ministries in Taiwan during the month of July: working with 100 children in an elementary school kids summer camp registered through the CBM church plant.

Missions Focus: Chinese Bible Mission (CBM Asia plus US domestic ministries)

CBM hosted a children’s day camp during the Chinese New Year break in Taiwan. It was a great experience for both the volunteers from the church and the local children. One camper who was invited by a classmate whose family attends their church plant was noticeably hostile to the Christian message at first. By the end of the camp, she had softened her demeanor and she and her sister even visited Sunday School a few weeks after the camp.
