March 28, 2025, a powerful earthquake struck Myanmar, (7.7) with the epicenter close to Silver Lining Family Village is based. The 170 children were on a field trip when the tremors came very strong and lasted several moments. Chris (founder of SL) was with 30 children - he got crouched down and held the children, giving them words of comfort. Every child was safe and unharmed.

As mentioned before, Friends of India are hosting a trip to take interested believers to India to see the needs there and experience a different culture. The group is scheduled to leave October 21. BACBC has two members who are joining the trip.

The children of the Nanning Silver Lining Rehabilitation Center (China) performed at a charity concert by singing and dancing and had an unforgettable experience.

Silver Lining Rehabilitation center in Yangon reopened for classes in July, two days a week. Aid was distributed to families in Yangon where it is still difficult to find jobs, resources, supplies.

We were blessed by Chris Yeung and Laurent Mak from Silver Lining Missions (Asia) as they gave us an update of their ministries in Vietnam, Dahua, Nanning, and Yangon. They have over 200 children in Maymyo, Myanmar. They plan to open another children’s center in a war zone near Hakha.
