Missions Focus: Silver Lining Mission (US, Asia)
Their mission is to serve underprivileged and disabled children and their families through various centers in Asia. Here are two examples of what takes place at their centers. At the Myanmar Silver Lining Rehabilitation Center, the children are adapting to the return of onsite classes.
Missions Focus: Chinese Bible Mission (CBM, US, Asia)
The Linkou International Church in Taiwan (CBM’s main church plant of 2+ years) continues to grow. Attendance has increased from 31 in October 2021 to 122 at the end of 2023. The church recently hired a young seminary graduate to take on pastoral duties.
Missions Focus: Biblical Ministries Worldwide – Larry & Kathleen Leach, England (retired)
Larry and Kathleen Leach have retired from active mission responsibilities after 41 years of service with BMW. They made a US trip this past fall to thank the churches that have supported them. We were blessed to have Larry and Kathleen share at BACBC
Missions Focus: Rainbow Missions (Seattle, WA base, serving in China)
Rainbow Missions is focused on supporting children with autism, blindness, and cerebral palsy as well as their families. Their mission statement includes the following: We are driven by the examples of Jesus Christ who loved and gave help to people with disabilities in His era.
Missions Focus: InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, The Jungs
Derek and Chelsea Jung share the following update. At Shasta College, we have been praying for an increase in students. The pandemic and a sharp drop in enrollment the past couple of years resulted in sparse student involvement. This past Fall, we saw the Lord answer our prayers with over 40 student participants and eight students becoming new believers!
Missions Focus: Taiwan Short-Term Summer 2024 Mission Update
The STM team will be serving 1st-6th graders in both Linkou and the Wanhua District. The second location is an opportunity to double the impact for Christ with two concurrent English Camps now being offered by Chinese Bible Mission (CBM).
