As mentioned before, Friends of India are hosting a trip to take interested believers to India to see the needs there and experience a different culture. The group is scheduled to leave October 21. BACBC has two members who are joining the trip.

Silver Lining Missions (China, Asia) – Their mission is to serve underprivileged and disabled children and their families through various centers in Asia. Here are two examples of what takes place at their centers.

Sandy Spellman and her late husband, James (or Jim), loved to work with those who need Jesus, especially those who are in the deaf community. After some adjustment and moving closer to her children, Sandy continues to regularly reach out to those who need to "hear" the Good News and has a heart to pray for those who are seeking truth, healing, understanding, forgiveness that only God can give.

Using Media to reach others with the Good News plus End of the Year Short-term mission sharing. Community Service: Project Peace continues to offer opportunities for East Bay churches to serve their local communities. Saturday workdays were March 16 and June 22. The next ones are scheduled for Saturdays, September 28 and October 26 from 9 AM - 12 Noon.

CCM’s San Leandro Gospel Center (SLGC) continues to serve the Chinese community in the East Bay with workshops, outreach events, and other activities. Their goal is to provide a welcoming place for community, to build relationships with those coming to the Gospel Center, and to share the Gospel as opportunities arise.
