The institute is growing steadily amid a chaotic world. Janson Chan has become the President of a “seminary” that offers four Masters Degree programs. He also devotes his time to running Inspirata Publishing (endao.co).

Chris and Rosita report that their colleagues have been working well with their local coworkers to either complete or make good progress on approximately 30 translation projects. A new couple has arrived safely in Asia and has begun national language study and 2 volunteers have joined their group to work remotely.

The headline for this month’s newsletter is: “Cultivating Food, Faith and a Future in South Sudan” (Africa). In the Upper Nile, a state of South Sudan, the church is the only reliable provider of social services. Prayer for efforts to help with: food scarcity, education, women empowerment, youth empowerment.

Pastor Alex Schweng’s organization now has 10 church planters on staff to serve the urban poor. While they do holistic ministry, their main passion and mission continue to be “Go Make Disciples”.

Although workers were not able to travel to Asia to visit the beloved children with disabilities and the visually impaired college students, they were able to keep in touch with them electronically. They were also able to provide loving physical as well as spiritual care and support through local volunteers.

We were blessed by Chris Yeung and Laurent Mak from Silver Lining Missions (Asia) as they gave us an update of their ministries in Vietnam, Dahua, Nanning, and Yangon. They have over 200 children in Maymyo, Myanmar. They plan to open another children’s center in a war zone near Hakha.
