Although Tom Latham has deeply felt the loss of his wife Penny, he continues on with the help of his Brazilian family, those who have come to faith through his many years of preaching and ministry. The church recently hired one of their deacons to be Brother Tom’s Assistant Pastor.

As we have completed our missions emphasis, this is also a reminder to sign up for our Great Commission Fund. Regular giving allows the World Missions team to plan and commit to support our missionaries at a certain level for the year.

Pastor Alex Schweng along with their growing staff and partners serve the urban poor. MDO’s vision is to exalt Jesus Christ and see His kingdom shine in the brokenness of our world. This past July started the 12th year of ministry in Oakland and has grown to serve other cities of great need.
