Our heavenly Father may not remove all trials we experience in life, but he does give us his mercy and comfort to get through them. And when we have experienced God's comfort in our trials, he also wants us to come alongside others in their affliction. We are not supposed to carry life's burdens by ourselves!

When we follow Jesus, we may find ourselves in some unexpected challenges. They can even make us fearful, and Jesus encourages us to believe in Him during those “great storms.” For example, in Matthew 8:23-27, Jesus encouraged his disciples to have faith during a time of fear.

During this pandemic, there is a common question: “God is all-powerful and all-loving, so why doesn’t He stop this coronavirus?” As followers of Christ, how would we respond to this kind of argument?

Here at SOBEM USA, while following the "shelter in place" orders, we have not slowed down. Instead, we doubled down on our work through television and expansion in internet media platforms to share the gospel and spread the message of encouragement.

On Saturday, August 1, thirteen people from BACBC participated in a "March for Peace," which comprised an ethnically and generationally diverse group of Jesus' followers (I'm estimating over 200) who sang, prayed, and walked from Kennedy Park to Hayward City Hall.
