I hope you are enjoying our new website (bacbc.org)! The vast majority of our recent guests find us through our website, so it is a strategic tool for outreach, especially since we are unable to hold in-person worship services at this time.

I recently watched some of the new Netflix series Our Planet, which is similar to the BBC Planet Earth nature documentary. It reminded me that there is a beautiful world outside while we are “stuck” in our homes due to shelter-in-place and the bad air quality.

Our heavenly Father may not remove all trials we experience in life, but he does give us his mercy and comfort to get through them. And when we have experienced God's comfort in our trials, he also wants us to come alongside others in their affliction. We are not supposed to carry life's burdens by ourselves!

When we follow Jesus, we may find ourselves in some unexpected challenges. They can even make us fearful, and Jesus encourages us to believe in Him during those “great storms.” For example, in Matthew 8:23-27, Jesus encouraged his disciples to have faith during a time of fear.

During this pandemic, there is a common question: “God is all-powerful and all-loving, so why doesn’t He stop this coronavirus?” As followers of Christ, how would we respond to this kind of argument?
